On approximation properties of a discrete model of incompressible fluid (English)
0 references
The authors propose a discrete model for approximation of equations of fluid dynamics. The model is a simplified version of particle method for incompressible fluids. It is shown that (i) the momentum equation can be approximated in the weak sense if the discrete incompressibility condition is imposed only at nodes of an appropriate grid, and (ii) the strong approximation can be obtained if the discrete incompressibility condition is satisfied for each particle.
