Asymptotic WKBJ-studies of solar dynamo waves: 1D and 2D cases (English)

The WKBJ method is used to study short waves in thin layers which arise in an alpha-omega-effect dynamo model, in a differentially rotating spherical shell. The author obtains two non-overlapping independent dynamo waves. The first wave propagates equatorwards over low latitudes, while the second wave propagates polewards over high latitudes.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0973.00055].
