Volume-of-fluid methods for partial differential equations (English)

From the conclusion: We present a theory for constructing finite difference methods usig volume-of-fluid representations of irregular boundaries. The key component is the systematic interpretation of the dependent variables as approximating the solution evaluated at the centers of rectangular grid cells. We mainly focus on issues surrounding the construction of stable and consistent discretizations of elliptic and hyperbolic equations.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0978.00036].
