This paper deals with the control of a class of perfectly modelled linear hybrid systems which consist of two correlated subsystems: continuous and digital systems. Both subsystems are driven by continuous and sampled values of a control input respectively. Section 2 presents the class of linear hybrid plants under consideration. Section 3 deals with the synthesis of the hybrid controller in order that two objectives are achieved in the nominal situation. Further considerations related to the scheme's robustness against unmodelled dynamics and the presence of noise are presented in Section 4. Section 5 presents a simulated numerical example and, finally, conclusions end the paper.
