Interpolation curve method with continuous \(C^2\) on common NURBS surface (English)
0 references
The general problem of interpolation with a curve restricted to a smooth surface is important in applications but difficult. In this paper, the author solves this problem when the surface is spherical, circular cylindrical, or circular conical. He uses the NURBS representation of the surface and its explicit inversion to solve the problem. Some data on error analysis and pictures of the interpolations are included.
