Deformations of Lie groups and their application to surface theory (English)
0 references
The theory of deformations of Lie groups is used to study the existence of deformations of surfaces through various symmetric spaces. For example the existence of deformations of Wente tori to CMC tori in the 3-sphere is given as an application. Similarly, deformations and obstructions to deformations of minimal and CMC1 surfaces in hyperbolic 3-space are studied. New examples of CMC1 surfaces in hyperbolic 3-space are proved to exist.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0981.00018].
