The authors analyze the theoretical and computational aspects of the aggregation-based domain decomposition preconditioner applied to a Bi-CGSTAB iterative solver. The solver is used to integrate numerically Laplace's equation and Richards' (nonlinear) equation. The numerical experiments exhibit excellent scalability.
