In this short note, the author explains the results and methods for the Fourier inversion formula \(f(e_\mathbb X)=\int_\Xi c_\xi \Theta_\xi(f) dm(\xi)\) on a reductive symmetric space \(\mathbb X=G/H\) by presenting the explicit formulas in the case of the group S\(\ell(2,\mathbb R)\).
