In this paper the author presents some product formulas for theta-constants in genus 1 and 2. The formulas in genus 2 are relatively new. More precisely, he shows that the product of theta-constants with suitable (1/3) and (1/4)-integral characteristics are powers of the discriminant modular form \(\Delta_2\). These results are obtained by considering the vanishing of these modular forms along the diagonal. We observe that these results can also be obtained by considering the vanishing of the above modular forms along the boundary.
