Numerical analysis of the adiabatic variable method for the approximation of the nuclear hamiltonian (English)
0 references
The authors present mathematical analysis of the adiabatic variable method for the approximation of a multi-body problem and propose a posteriori error estimator. The latter allows to verify the adiabaticity hypothesis applied to some of the variables. The theory is illustrated by comprehensive numerical results.
