Introduction to \(G\)-structures via three examples (English)
0 references
The paper under review is of expository nature. The author introduces the methods developed by É. Cartan for the study of geometric problems by considering three examples: three-webs in the plane, Riemannian geometry, and path geometry. In all three examples, the author demonstrates how to derive the first structure equations. These examples give the author an opportunity to define a first-order \(G\)-structure on a differentiable manifold and a connection in a subbundle of frames associated with this \(G\)-structure.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0983.00024].
