The book contains five chapters. Some elements of functional analysis and differential topology are given in Chapter~1. The second chapter contains problems related to the static bifurcation. Chapter~3 contains results concerning the dynamic bifurcation. Numerical results and applications are given in the last chapters (Couette flow, thermal flow, bifurcation in the boundary layer). Some parts of the book have been used as basic material for master courses.NEWLINENEWLINE The book is useful for specialists in the theory of bifurcation, stability, and dynamic systems. The most important papers in that field are given in the references.
