The authors generalise the results of structure investigation of the constitutive equations, for viscoelastic materials. To derive these equations, the thermodynamics of irreversible processes is applied. Moreover, the concepts of generalized dissipative potential and rheologically simple behavior proposed by the authors are employed. New general models are formulated, and their relationship with the well-known theories is established.
