The authors present a survey of developments of classical and refined models of thermomechanical behavior of thin-walled one- and multilayer elements of viscoelastic materials with allowance for the temperature dependence of properties, physical and geometrical nonlinearities under monoharmonic strain which is one of the most characteristic type of deformation. The methods of solution for nonlinear connected thermoelasticity problems are presented as well as the results of solution of some problems on oscillations and heating of thin-walled rods, plates and shells in quasistatic and dynamical statements. The presence of some thermomechanical effects is indicated which are generated by the coupling of mechanical and thermal fields and physical and geometrical nonlinearities when they are taken into account jointly or separately.
