The authors obtain a solution to the problem on stressed state of viscoelastic orthotropic half-plane. It is assumed that the half-plane is loaded at time \(\,t=0\,\) by a force normal to the half-plane boundary. The stress field in the half-plane is determined by using the Volterra principle and the solution of the corresponding problem of elasticity theory. The effect of rheological parameters on the change of the stressed state of the half-plane is shown by an example.
