The use of the ``trident'' model in the analysis of plastic zones near crack tips and corner points (English)

The authors discuss the calculation of the plastic region near the crack tip in homogeneous isotropic elastoplastic body and near the corner boundary point under the plane strain using the models of plastic bands. It is shown that the process of plastic strain is described more precisely by the ``trident'' model rather than by the well-known model with two straight slip-lines. In the case of the normal separation crack in quasibrittle material, the results of calculation of the plastic region are presented in terms of the ``trident'' model and correspond to different stages of the plastic strain development.
