The constitutive relations of some polymeric materials subject to nonlinear deformation. (English)

The authors discuss the constitutive equations for the high-strength (rigid) polymeric materials whose strain compliance is essentially less than that of the elastic materials. It is established that the elastic strain stage in these materials is geometrically nonlinear, there is no flow region in the plastic stage, and there is a linear displacement up to separation. The obtained equations are valid for a bounded time interval during which the creep and relaxation of the polymeric material can be neglected.
