Buffer's size optimization in a queue system with multiple classes of clients and different requirements of retards and losses (English)
0 references
The authors study a system with two classes of traffic (priority and non-priority) for establishing an optimal discipline of the network service. The involved processes are assumed to be Poisson and the stationary probabilities of the system are derived. The optimal behavior of the system may be determined by numerically because of the non existence of analytical formulae for the minimizers.
