    The authors consider the microscopic flow through a filter with small thickness and small period \(e\) of a non-Newtonian fluid corresponding to a Carreau model. The asymptotic behavior of the solution as \(e\) go to infinity, is studied. The theoretical results are compared, by a direct computation, with the flow of various fluids and various filter shapes.
