The authors were motivated by wanting to study adjunctions between categories of sheaves in the light of \textit{R. F. C. Walters}' description [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 24, No. 1, 95-102 (1982; Zbl 0497.18016)] of sheaves as Cauchy complete, symmetric, skeletal enriched categories. Adjunctions between 2-categories of enriched categories were handled by the authors, Kelly and the reviewer [\textit{M. Kelly, A. Labella, V. Schmitt} and \textit{R. Street}, Pure Appl. Algebra 168, No. 1, 53-98 (2002; Zbl 1012.18004)]. The present paper now studies the behaviour under such adjunctions of the special properties of enriched categories involved in Walters' description.
