A time-stepping complementarity approach for frictionless systems of rigid bodies (English)

The authors synthesize several recently developed methodologies to develop a solution procedure for differential complementary problems (DCP) arising in models of collision of frictionless rigid bodies (DCPs may be regarded as extensions of differential algebraic equations). The paper is carefully written with a firm basis for the theoretical development. Several illustrative applications are presented.
