A time-dependent model for pumping dynamics in solid state lasers (English)

The author studies a mathematical model for the behavior of four-level solid state laser. Here, the model developed by \textit{A. M. Buoncristiani, L. F. Roberts} and \textit{J. J. Swetits} [Math. Comput. Modelling 12, No. 3, 303-312 (1989; Zbl 0674.34042)] is reformulated in order to account the dynamics of the pump pulse. Due to the procedure of spatial averaging, the model consists of four nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Then, the conditions for the integrability and boundedness of solutions are presented.
