This is the third book in the series `Mathematical Research'. Here the different methods of solving partial differential equations numerically are described. The two main techniques presented are the finite difference and finite element methods. These methods are analyzed for elliptic, parabolic and hyperbolic partial differential equations. The book concludes with extensive computer listings of programs used for solving the problems described in the book.
