This is the second volume of the series `Mathematical Analysis' and is devoted to differentiation and derivatives. The book starts with the necessary definitions such as local and global differentiation and their geometric interpretation. In the third chapter the properties of differentiable functions are presented, such as the mean value theorem, Rolle's theorem and Taylor's theorem. The methodology of tracing the graph of a function using derivatives is presented, such as finding local extrema and points of inflection. Finally, l'Hospital's rule is presented together with a wide variety of exercises.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe last chapter contains more than a dozen of real life models that can be formulated as differential equations and solved using techniques presented in this book.
