This book concludes the series `Mathematical Analysis', being the third in this series. The book treats integration and its applications as viewed from the perspective of a final high school student or first year university student. The first chapter contains the definitions and the usual rules of integration (by parts and by substitution) in the context of the indefinite integral.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe second chapter continues by defining the Riemann (definite) integral and its application to calculating areas of plane figures and volumes of rotation. Next, generalized integrals are dealt with, such as infinite limits, Gamma function, probability densities etc. Finally, the book concludes with an introduction to ordinary differential equations and applications of integrals, via a series of real-life situations which are modeled and solved using ordinary differential equations or integration. These models come from the areas of chemistry, thermodynamics, entropy and physics.
