Some features of dynamics of supercavitating models (Q2784941)

The effects of supercavitating model parameters on the distance passing by model and on the character of its perturbed motion are investigated. It is shown that a propulsive motor allows to increase this distance only using a high-efficient fuel. It is established that the character of disturbed motion essentially depends on a clearance between the model stern part and cavity wall. Under large clearance the motion is of stationary oscillations with the amplitude and frequency independent of initial conditions. Different forms of motion are possible if the clearance is small: unstable motion, stationary asymmetric oscillations, irregular oscillations.
