On the Morgan-Voyce polynomial generalization of the first kind (English)

The Morgan-Voyce polynomials [\textit{R. André-Jeannin}, ibid. 32, 228-231 (1994; Zbl 0814.11012)] were generalized in a particular way. Some new relations were obtained for them by means of the line-sequential formalism developed previously [\textit{A. F. Horadam}, ibid. 34, 342-346 (1996; Zbl 0868.11007)]. Many known results are found from these relations in a systematic manner. The generalizations of the first kind are only treated. Generalizations of the second kind are discussed in a separate report. Line sequences and element conversions are tabulated. Examples are presented.
