A new method for identification of 2-order superdamping system transfer function (Q2785221)

The author presents an algorithm for estimating the time constants \(T_1\) and \(T_2\) of a 2nd order superdamping system transfer function NEWLINE\[NEWLINEG(s)=\frac{1}{T_1 T_2 s^2 +(T_1+T_2)s+1} e^{-\tau s},NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(\tau\) is the time delay, which is given; moreover, \(\zeta = (T_1+T_2)/(2\sqrt{T_1 T_2}) >1\). This is performed by combining numerical computation methods with an optimization method. The simulation results given show the good effectiveness of the method.
