In this interesting paper, the authors aim at presenting summation formulas for the Appell function \(F_1\), with its parameters and arguments constrained as follows: NEWLINE\[NEWLINEF_1(a,b,b'; 1_a+b-b'+j; 1,-1)\quad (j=0,\pm 1,\pm 2, \pm 3,\pm 4, \pm 5),NEWLINE\]NEWLINE which, for \(j=0\), corresponds to a known result for \(F_1(1,-1)\) due to the reviewer [Gaṇita 15, 97-108 (1964; Zbl 0163.08203)].
