Automorphisms of orthomodular posets (Q2785341)

So-called c-NOSOPs (= c-nearly orthosymmetric orthoposets) and some similar structures are considered. c-NOSOPs are orthoposets with a special set of automorphisms. These and related structures approximate ortholattices of closed subspaces of Hilbert spaces more closely than orthomodular lattices do. The class of all c-NOSOPs (considered as partial algebras) is closed under direct products, so-called right subalgebras and homomorphic images which are right subalgebras. The orthomodular poset of all idempotents of a ring with identity provides a natural example of a c-NOSOP.
