The language of jets, first introduced by \textit{Ch. Ehresmann} [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris 233, 598-600, 777-779, 1081-1083 (1951; Zbl 0043.17401)], is widely recognised as the natural frame for the so-called higher order differential geometry. The paper provides the definition of the fiber space of \(k\)-jets of \(N\)-dimensional \(r\)-geometrical objects of type \(\Phi\) on a differentiable manifold. It also gives the lift of a differential operator, from the standpoint used by \textit{B. A. Kupershmidt} [Lect. Notes Math. 775, 162-218 (1980; Zbl 0439.58016)].
