The paper surveys the most important mathematical results obtained by the 2015 Abel Prize Laureates. A special emphasis is devoted to their striking and seminal contributions to the theory of nonlinear partial differential equations and its applications to geometric analysis. Note that J. Nash is the only scientist who received the Abel Prize and the Nobel Prize (for Economy).
