The author compares the solution of two partial differential equations with Neumann boundary conditions. The first one has given initial data whereas the second one has cap symmetrized data. It is shown that the solution with cap symmetrized data is itself cap symmetrized and that it exhibits larger convex means. Comparison results are proven on spheres and hemispheres. Additionally, a conjecture of B. Kawohl is proven.
