Using some partial order on the set \(\mathbb C\) of complex numbers, a generalized \(b\)-metric space with values in \(\mathbb C\) is defined. A number of properties of such generalized metric spaces are proved. Unfortunately, there is no interesting example of such a space. NEWLINENEWLINEMoreover, the Banach type contraction principle and Kannan's fixed point theorem for complete complex valued generalized \(b\)-metric spaces are proved (the methods of proofs are standard).
