Triangulated categories have some ``higher dimensional'' analogues, called \(n\)-angulated categories. The main result of the paper shows that the category of finitely generated free modules over certain local rings is \(n\)-angulated for every \(n\geq 3\). Moreover, the authors construct several \(n\)-angulations on the underlying suspended category, and show that for certain local rings and for odd values of \(n\), some of the constructed \(n\)-angulated categories are not algebraic.
