Modelling by Shepard-type curves and surfaces (English)
0 references
The paper is devoted to the study of the first parametric Shepard type curves. The authors prove that using the Shepard type operators could be an advantage with respect to the Bézier case. Finally, the authors give an iterative approximation technique witch can be used in computer aided geometric design. Also an extension to tensor product surfaces is given. In conclusion, the paper is well written and contains new and interesting results.
