The authors consider the modification of the conjugate descend method for solving unconstrained optimization problems \(\min_{x\in\mathbb{R}^n}f(x)\), where \(f:\mathbb{R}^n\rightarrow\mathbb{R}\) is a continuously differentiable nonlinear function. They provide the sufficient descent condition and prove the global convergence of the method using strong Wolfe line search.
