BV solutions for hyperbolic balance laws with periodic initial data (English)

The author studies admissible periodic BV solutions to strictly hyperbolic balance laws satisfying some structural assumptions (in particular, the Kawashima condition) and proves existence of such solutions provided the periodic initial data are sufficiently small in BV. The exponential decay property of such solutions is also established.
