Vibro-impact problems with dry friction. II: Tangential contacts and frictional catastrophes (English)
0 references
This paper is the second part (see [ibid. 47, No. 5, 3285--3313 (2015; Zbl 1329.34046)]) of a study about the dynamics of a discrete mechanical system with non-trivial inertia operator subjected to unilateral constraints and dry friction. It is explored the influence of tangential contacts on the dynamics of the system, including the presence of frictional catastrophes, i.e., discontinuities on the velocity in the absence of impact. The main tool is the concept of an approximate trajectory constructed in the first part.
