The decoupled potential integral equation for time-harmonic electromagnetic scattering (English)
0 references
The authors elaborate a modified Dirichlet problem for the scattering of electromagnetic waves from perfect electric conductors, by first decoupling the equations for scalar and vector potentials applying the appropriate gauge transformation, and, second, by solving the resulting Fredholm integral equations with specified boundary conditions imposed on the potentials rather than electromagnetic field components. The proposed method is discussed in terms of mathematical exactness and applicability to different geometries.
