Calculus and differential equations with MATLAB (English)

This textbook is an introduction to basic capabilities of the software MATLAB to solve classical problems of calculus and differential equations courses in a clear way. It consists of eleven chapters covering the following topics: limits, differentiation, integration, series, special functions, Laplace and Fourier transforms, ordinary and partial differential equations. But the first chapter demonstrates briefly the history and essential features and advantages of symbolic manipulations of this software. Each topic contains corresponding examples and homework tasks to demonstrate the capability of symbolic mathematics in MATLAB. The author presents traditional methods which can be applied to get exact solutions and then demonstrates the MATLAB commands providing the same results.NEWLINENEWLINENumerical methods are used to obtain approximate solutions when analytic ways can not provide exact solutions. There are a lot of figures illustrating the behaviors of the solutions and their geometrical interpretation.NEWLINENEWLINEThis book can be useful for students who should solve mathematical problems that arise in different fields of science and engineering.
