On paramedial division groupoids. (English)

Paramedial groupoids satisfy the identity \((x*y)*(u*z)=(z*y)*(u*x)\). This article studies paramedial division groupoids, showing that they have similar properties as medial division groupoids. The main results are that finitely generated paramedial division groupoids are already quasigroups (with an example of an uncountable non-cancellative paramedial division groupoid) and that every paramedial division groupoid is a homomorphic image of a quasigroup.NEWLINENEWLINE A tool for proving this are regular paramedial division groupoids, a slight generalization of paramedial quasigroups. It turns out that they are all linear over abelian groups.
