Investigation of bending vibrations in Voigt-Kelvin bars with allowance for nonlinear resistance forces (English)

The author describes a method for the qualitative investigation of the solution of a mathematical model of bending vibrations of a viscoelastic body under the action of dissipative forces and nonlinear resistance forces in a bounded domain. The method is presented in terms of general approaches of the theory of nonlinear boundary-value problems. The application of Galerkin's method allows to substantiate correctness solution of the problem. Also, this technique makes possible the application of approximate methods for the investigation of the model.
