Determination of stresses near elastic inclusions in plates of complex shape (English)

The authors develop an algorithm for stress determination in plates of complex shape containing elastic inclusions. The algorithm is based on the application of modified integral equations for which boundary conditions for stresses on the interfaces are identically satisfied. The integral equations are solved numerically by the method of mechanical quadratures. For the plates of various shape stresses near inclusions are studied. Characteristic features of stress distribution are determined depending on the inclusion shapes and the material elastic characteristics.
