Interpolating integral continued fraction of Thiele type (English)

The known results on one variable function interpolation by the Thiele-Hermite fraction with arbitrary multiplicity of each interpolation node are generalized for a functional operating from the space of piecewise continuous functions with finite number of first kind discontinuities. On the set of interpolation nodes, one of which is continual, an interpolation integral fraction of Thiele type is obtained. An efficient approach is given for constructing the interpolation integral fraction of Thiele type, when all interpolation nodes are continual. This case is important for balancing the data used to construct the interpolant and its interpolation properties.
