The numerical solution of the Rosenau-Burgers equation with the aid of a quadratic B-spline finite element method is numerically analyzed. The boundedness of the approximations is shown and the convergence of the approximation is proven. Further, the Crank-Nicolson method is used and the fully discrete Galerkin scheme is analyzed to derive the error estimates in time. Numerical experiments are shown supporting the validity and the order of accuracy of the proposed method.
