What expands in an expanding universe? (English)
0 references
In the paper the question of what is expanding in a expanding universe is reconsidered. Following issues are considered: (a) the exceeding motion of galaxies; (b) planetary orbits; (c) expansion effects on atoms. The main conclusion of the author is that all bodies suffer the consequences of the universe expansion but with different strengths: (a) at atomic and solar systems scales effects are undetectable; (b) the expansion with the acceleration is the dominant factor for the systems bounded gravitationally or electromagnetically.
