Vector-valued wavelet packets on local fields of positive characteristic (English)

Motivated by the concept of vector-valued multiresolution analysis on a local field of positive characteristic, the authors construct and investigate some properties of the associated vector-valued wavelet packets for such an MRA. It is shown that the collection of all dilations and translations of the wavelet packets is an overcomplete system in \(L^2(K,\mathbb C^N)\). Besides, the authors also provide a direct decomposition of the space \(L^2(K,\mathbb C^N)\) in terms of the vector-valued wavelet packets.
