This paper studies the variety \(\mathbb{P}Lie_4\) of four dimensional Lie algebras over complex numbers. The author calculates the degree for each of the four components of \(\mathbb{P}Lie_4\) and gives more intrinsic descriptions for these components. The result of this paper solves a problem proposed by \textit{A. A. Kirillov} and \textit{Yu. A. Neretin} [in: Transl., II. Ser., Am. Math.
