The authors prove the existence of Lipschitz stratifications for sets which are definable in a polynomially bounded o-minimal structure. Existence of Lipschitz stratifications for complex analytic sets is due to Mostowski, while the case of real semi-analytic and subanalytic sets was considered by Parusiński. The main technical tool in proving such results is (a right version of) the preparation theorem, and the authors refine previous results in this direction by van den Driess and Speissegger.
